Nicole Mays is the founder of 1 Care Premier Services a Social Services business that offers Foster Care, Foster Kinship, Adoption, and Home & Community Based Services. A recent article put out by JP Morgan Wealth Management noted that "Black women are the fastest growing demographic of entrepreneurs in the U.S., with nearly 2.7 million businesses nationwide. But even with their growing presence in the business world, these women face disproportionate financial headwinds."
Although Nicole was not an exception to the norm, she quickly educated herself and figured out how to leverage traditional financing opportunities to grow and scale her business. She emphasizes the need to work with professionals like accountants and bankers in order to navigate the process.
